honestly this is so refreshing. usually we just see the “good parts” of a transformation or the before and after. you have no idea how good it feels to know i’m not the only one struggling in the same way you are. i’ve been trying to lose weight most of my life and seeing someone struggle the same way i do makes me feel better about my struggles. thank you for showing me not everyone’s journey is as easy and perfect as it seems

I was just saying to myself while I was watching this and what I do is portion control since its what I can stick with. Like half a turkey sandwich with cheese and all the toppings with a large handful of kettle chips and diet mtn dew. ;) That is my lunch Jam. Breakfast belvita bar with crunchy peanut butter, and at night if my husband makes his mac and cheese I will have a bowl with veggies mostly broccoli. BUT I also work out with peloton 30 minutes every day. Exercise is a major role player on top of eating habits for sure. Good Luck Jaclyn! ♥ we are in your corner girl!

I feel all of this 100% Some of these comments are super condescending and rude. What may look like an easy thing for you may be a struggle for someone else, and that’s perfectly fine! Not everyone enjoys eating healthy food or is used to eat moderately. Especially once you create a pattern of it. Let her go through her journey without criticism. None of that is helpful.

I related to this so much. I am always making excuses to allow myself to cheat on my diet. One thing I’ve been doing with meals that has really helped is planning out every lunch and dinner at the beginning of the week and cooking dinners that give me leftovers I can use for the next day’s lunch. It’s been a game changer and has kept me on track even when I get lazy. Kudos to you for making these changes for you! One day at a time girl. You’ve got this! 💪🏼❤️

Why are u embarrassed by this video?? I just see a video of someone being real and human! Changing your diet and life style is HARD!! I’m so proud of u and I’m so happy your filming all the real moments bc this is realistic and relatable. It’s really hard not to go ALL OUT when you are not in your usual daily routine (ie vacation or out of town occasion). But when you REALLY want and need something enough, and you have actual accountability with your actions, you are actually going to be closer to your goal than you actually think. Its all about mindset and making it a part of your lifestyle. Unrealistic diets are unsustainable and you would be more likely to “cheat” then. I recommend working with a coach (lifestyle/personal trainer) someone who is able to keep you accountable and tell you straight up what you NEED to hear. You can rely on Jordan all you want but in reality, he is not gonna tell you everything that you NEED to hear to actually get you in your goal unlike a good coach. And its neither of your fault. You need someone who is outside of your household to keep you accountable and honest. “I’ll start again tomorrow” is easier said done “I made a mistake and I’m gonna fix it now”. When you are living a TRUE healthy lifestyle, you would never feel bad/guilty about a bite of a donut.. you are doing great so far and I’m excited to see this journey. Hopefully each step is a learning process for you

Grace is so important on your journey! when you go off course a little bit and you’re Feeling horrible about your mistakes (I like to call them lessons) and allowing it to take over your emotions it will make you eat worse because you feel worse. Dietitian here! I hear you say that you’re still looking for what works for you, and personally, if you need to “cheat” on your diet… it’s not the right diet for you. Demonizing an entire food group sets you up for failure. Carbs aren’t bad. There are absolutely ways for you to incorporate the foods you love without being as “extreme” which means it would be easier for you to stick with it. Truly, WW isn’t a bad program. Contacting a true registered dietitian (not just a nutritionist) would be helpful. A ton of us specialize in “no diet dieting”. I’m sure there is one near you. Your mindset changing will be a huge help. You’re trying which is a huge step and I commend you for it AND for documenting it knowing it will be scrutinized.

Jaclyn, I've loved you for years and say this with love - you should consider speaking to a dietician and probably an intuitive eating coach. Especially one that is experienced with disordered eating. I honestly worry about these videos and the thoughts they can put in young girls' minds. I am in the same boat that you are with having certain health issues and always being around people that I can just eat what they want and they don’t get an ounce. I am a mom of three boys and they’re always wanting to eat they’re always wanting to snack and it’s so damn hard because you want to bite of their cookie I’ll have a bite if they’re donut I’ll eat that ice cream that you don’t finish and it’s really effing hard. I know just how you’re feeling with putting on jeans or certain clothes that aren’t workout clothes to have them not button to have them not fit to have them just be uncomfortable to sit down. But as I just sat here and ate chicken enchiladas with rice and beans because I saw you eating that and I had to have that for dinner tonight makes me realize I need to join the journey with you. Make myself feel alive again make myself feel like me and I don’t have much to lose I just need to eat better for my health and for health issues that I have To feel great. You are definitely not alone you have millions of people that are standing by your side every step of the way holding you accountable and holding them accountable for every action and every move and everything that goes into your mouth and into your body.

I have Celiac disease so when I use to cheat I felt so miserable. I had pregnant belly, diarrhea, abdominal cramps, headache and severe fatigue. It’s been almost 5 months now that I am gluten free and I feel amazing. There is a few things I would like to cheat and eat but I look at it this way. If you have a tooth that needs a root canal I can promise you that you would not crunch on ice. The consequences are just not worth it! I needed this so bad. I got motivated to get back on track when you put out your first episode. I did so great all week and felt amazing. Then yesterday I saw my grandma who has Alzheimer’s and my anxiety went through the roof and I binged all day. Today, I started fresh and knowing I could watch your video once my hectic day was over kept me motivated. The thing that helped me to be consistent with a healthy lifestyle was the realization that it will never be the last time I can have that “cheat” food. Realizing you can get that cupcake or burger or pizza literally whenever you want was so helpful because then it never felt like I couldn’t have it but rather it just wasn’t what I was going to eat right now. Hope that makes sense. I just never like feeling like I can’t have something, but rather it was my choice to have what I want, but I just choose better 80% of the time.

Jaclyn I love you and have been a viewer since the beginning and this is too much and dangerous girl. As someone who is 3 years recovered from this kind of behavior around eating, I had to stop watching. It is so toxic and triggering and I hurt for all the young girls who follow you that are seeing this. Please seek help through an eating disorder therapist and nutritionist. Saying things like “I’m being so bad” “I shouldn’t be eating this” etc is so damaging to yourself and those who see this. I know you want to be relatable and share your journey to health but this is as disordered and toxic as it gets. Seek professional health through an intuitive eating lens. You cannot punish yourself and drag yourself for simply eating and expect the outcome to be healthy. Please reconsider sharing this, you have young viewers. So much love for you, I hope you get the help you need.

Something that has really helped me with snacking/ being hungry throughout the day all the time is increasing the amount of fiber in my meals, especially breakfast. Adding whole oats, lentils and beans to meals is super easy and adds lots of fiber which helps with digestion too!
